artmaniac's 1998 Honda Civic EX - WideBodyCivic.com
A few years ago this car was built as a prototype for the newly designed Strictly Foriegn KIMA Wide Body Kit. After many hours of design work and brainstorming, seven months developing the kit and the last two years or so of nearly completing my ultimate goal, we are left with what you see here today. As you can see, this Civic's appearance has been completely transformed to include a one off custom metallic paint color from Sherwin Williams, custom finished interior plus shaved and molded body by Shafer's Collision & Customs Inc, a JDM Type R suspension, brake and 5 lug conversion, a carbon fiber headliner, and much much more..... For more info, Check out the specs below! or visit www.widebodycivic.com

Upon starting this project the car's intended use was to develop a prototype for a new product from Strictly Foreign, Inc. After doing so, this car is the fist car ever to have the KIMA wide body kit. This kit is now available for many makes and models due to the overwhelming success of the product. The actual molds for the 96-00 civic kit were built from this exact car. Don't believe me? You can see the whole project build by visiting the gallery page at www.widebodycivic.com Every step of the cars progress has been photographed and can be seen on the site.

This civic is also the first car ever to be sponsored by Sherwin Williams Automotive and is painted with a custom color you cannot buy any where. Yes you heard me correctly, Sherwin Williams doesn't just make house paint. If you can't tell in the pictures, the car is a deep metallic gold and a pale orange with every color in between. It turns an intense shade of yellow in the sunlight, and under flourescent and/or artificial light, the car flips to a goldish lime color you have to see to believe.

Some of you may actually notice the car since it has been used in various printed and online advertising campaigns in the last three years including local and national publications. The car was also used for a custom event display, store display and national advertising campaign for Stylin' Strings, one of north america's largest growing lacrosse equipment manufacturers. They've even created a custom lacrosse stick that mocks the design and color scheme of the car. The stick is one of a kind and is not for sale with the car. The car has also recently appeared in a new Top Shop Headliners ad that has run several times in Super Street magazine. These are just few among many marketing purposes that this car has served.

To put it simply, this is a well known car that has been well taken care of. A couple months prior to starting the project a brand new motor was installed by Honda under their warranty program due to issues with the prior engine. So the motor that is in the car now has less than 5000 miles on it total. I have all the original paper work and documentation proving this as well. The car itself has between 95 and 100k miles on it, but almost everything on the car is new. This car has tons of high quality aftermarket upgrades, countless hours of custom work done to it and truely is one of a kind.
